And because of that, I know, deep in my bones, how powerful it is to be held within a circle. I’ve learned that expression flows more freely in the embrace of a circle of women who get it, who hold space with unconditional acceptance, love and trust.

In the past, there was always a community of women; we are not to go through hard or nice stuff alone. What are we doing, isolating ourselves, being ashamed of what we are going through, hiding it or burying it all together? Before, women would come together, help each other transmute the pain by listening, (also) physically touching each other, hugging, crying, dancing. Whales do that as well. During a birth, whales gather, hold space, and help let the pain go just by being there. Witnessing.

I know how much it means just to have someone saying, “Wow, that’s a lot of what you are going through. You have got this.”

That is HER GROUND. A space where we are all seen. Held. Where we no longer feel alone.
